To get gtranslator working you do need much on your
system (on debian you can just get'em via apt-get); to get source
packages for them, visit http://download.gnome.org; the RPMs can
be found via http://www.rpmfind.net
or alternatively via RPM PBone Search via this
link for gtranslator - it does also resolve deps.
The necessary libs aren't very exotic things, gtranslator is working
within a normal GNOME 2.x platform desktop, so that you do just need to
install the base libs for the GNOME 2.x platform and gtranslator will
run without any major hubs. You can also look at http://www.ximian.com for installing
packages of GNOME 2.x on your system/distribution.
